Our Story

We love to discuss sports and subjects associated with sports analytics and data science. We decided to found NHSSAA in 2023 to create a place where high school students can share sports analytics interests and research with each other, learn from industry leading professionals and meet other students similarly passionate about sports analytics. Ours is an inclusive community that welcomes anyone interested in sports analytics, sports management or data science. Data analysis will increasingly play a larger role in decision-making across many fields including sports, and the mission of this organization is to help us grow on our sports analytics and data science journey.

The NHSSAA hosts both in-person and virtual events throughout the year. By the end of the 2025-26 school year, we will have hosted three large in-person Summit events and six virtual events. Our next three events are the Fall Symposium (November 2025), the Winter Symposium (January 2026), and the National High School Sports Analytics Summit 2026 (March 7, 2026, in Boston, MA). Please join the movement by attending our events, joining the organizing committee, and/or presenting your own sports analytics research!
