National High School Sports Analytics Summit 2026

• Daryl Morey, President of Basketball Operations of the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. He co-founded the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (SSAC) in 2006 and continues as its Co-Chair.
   

• Caiti Donovan, Head of Growth Strategy for the WNBA.  She has been a key player in the WNBA’s explosive growth over the past few years. Here are a few recent articles that describe the WNBA’s continued rise in popularity. 
   

• Mike Zarren, Boston Celtics’ VP of Basketball Operations and Team Counsel. He is widely recognized as one of the leaders in the field of advanced statistical analysis of basketball players and teams, and is an important part of the team’s strategic planning and player personnel evaluation processes.
   

• Andrew Fenichel, sports content creator based in LA.  Originally from the Washington DC area, he studied journalism and data science at Northwestern University, where he first began posting social media content. He has over 250,000 followers and 300 million lifetime views, creating sports commentary content across all platforms.
   

• Michael Czahor, Founder & President of Athlyticz.  He led the students in an exciting exercise using AI (Claude) and Major League Baseball data to explore an interactive defensive fielding tool in real time.
   

• Dave Bruno, Teacher Engagement Manager with the Alliance for Decision Education.  Dave led an exciting session on recognizing and resisting cognitive biases in fantasy football!  (Learn more about decision-making biases by watching the replay of our Winter Symposium 2026!)

Students also experienced a product demonstration with Professor Joseph Janosky (Lasell University) and listened to three student groups, who presented their original sports analytics research projects on tennis, pickleball, and baseball.
