Summer Symposium 2025 (Virtual):

A Baseball Analytics Extravaganza!

This event took place online on June 8, 2025. Major League Baseball analysts and insiders shared their insights and observations so far about the current MLB season and what it’s like to work for an MLB team. We explored how analytics can provide a deeper understanding of how your favorite team is *really* doing (beyond simply its W-L record) and how experts think about making predictions for the rest of the year. We also heard from the world’s best ballhawk and how he has applied critical thinking and clever analysis to catch over 100 in-game MLB home runs (and snag more than 12,800 balls overall)!

These slides were shared prior to the event.
