Winter Symposium 2025 (Virtual)

Speakers

Bailey Hall is currently a high school senior from Austin, TX.  She won the 2024 Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) Convention Poster Presentation Award for her poster, “Leadoff Walk vs. Leadoff Single: Which is Actually Worse?”

Max Marchi has been working in the Cleveland Guardians R&D department since 2014. He started playing baseball at the age of six in a soccer-crazy country. Max graduated from the University of Bologna with a BS in Statistics. He was a contributor for The Hardball Times and Baseball Prospectus websites and co-authored the book Analyzing Baseball Data with R, which sold over 10,000 copies over three editions and was translated to Japanese.
